New Parallel Plus Formulation
Parallel Plus herbicide, manufactured by MANA Crop Protection, has received approval by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for a new state-of-the-art formulation of metolachlor and atrazine for use on corn and grain sorghum.
Using MANA Crop Protection proprietary technology, new Parallel Plus provides superior levels of material stability, optimizing suspension integrity during pre-season (winter) storage and in advance of spring application. Parallel Plus also requires less time and manual attention to handling and mixing, thus eliminating the need for monthly re-circulation during extended storage periods.
Extending the value of new Parallel Plus is the inclusion of benoxacor, a superior crop safener that enhances a plant’s ability to metabolize metolachlor, therefore reducing the potential for crop injury and providing two modes of action. Parallel Plus provides excellent pre- and early postemergent control of grasses, pigweeds, waterhemp and other small-seeded broadleaves, including glyphosate resistant weed species.
MANA Crop Protection is the exclusive marketer of Parallel Plus, which is immediately available for 2011 fall delivery in 2.5 gallon containers, 270 gallon totes and in bulk quantities.

Case IH Efficient Power Equipment
Designed to deliver more power, burn less fuel and meet Tier 4 emissions standards, Case IH has now released a complete family of high-horsepower tractors and equipment utilizing Efficient Power technologies. The introduction of the new Case IH Axial-Flow 30 Series combines, Patriot 4430 sprayer and Maxxum tractors complements the Steiger, Magnum and Puma tractors that went into service last winter and confirms the Case IH commitment to better meet producers’ needs while also meeting government emissions regulations.
Case IH FPT Selective Catalytic Reduction technology helps meet Tier 4 emissions requirements, but also improves engine responsiveness and can reduce fuel consumption by 10 percent on average, according to Case IH North America.
The company also reports that Case IH will use exclusively SCR technology to meet the final stage of off-road governmental emissions regulations in 2014, and the Tier 4B technology will not require regeneration of particulate filters or any Cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation (CEGR) technology for any of our high horsepower equipment.
